GW’s extensive population of students native to the tri-state area may finally be getting a taste of home.

WaWa, the gas station and convenience store chain popular in Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey, hopes to expand into the D.C. area, the Washington Business Journal reported Wednesday.

WaWa Inc. recently opened a new location in the Baltimore area, and the closest location to D.C. is currently Beltsville, Md.

“We have several sites in the works,” Peter Galligan, WaWa Inc.’s vice president and chief real estate officer said. “We’re looking to fill out the D.C. and Baltimore corridor.”

There is also one located at Ritchie-Marlboro Rd and the Beltway – that is closer than Beltville.

What a poorly reported article … full of lies. The article says the stores will be in burbs, mentioning Northern Virginia and Maryland. It does not say DC, rather the corridor. And it says may open, not will. If you are going to steal other;s content, at least do it well.

um Brian you should probably get YOUR information right before correcting others. He clearly says that they PLAN (not will) to open in the dc AREA (not IN dc).

Well at least spell it right… Wawa
