I’m here at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum on the campus of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. The No. 20 Colonials (10-3) are coming off an 82-68 win against Pepperdine Dec. 30 at Smith Center. The Tigers are 12-2, having lost to Saint Joseph’s Dec. 29 and then-No. 11/12 Texas A&M Dec. 15. GW defeated the Aggies by one on Dec. 20.
The Colonials will have to watch for 6-foot-4 junior DeWanna Bonner, who is averaging 17.5 points per game and 10.2 rebounds per game. The Tigers also have two other starters who average in double digits. This is GW’s last true test in its out-of-conference schedule.
