Women’s assistant to take Radford head coaching vacancy

GW women’s basketball assistant coach Tajama (Abraham) Ngongba has accepted the head women’s coaching position at Radford University, Radford Director of Athletics Robert Lineburg announced Wednesday in a press conference.

The Radford opportunity opened up after former head coach Jeri Porter left the Highlanders to take the top coaching slot at George Mason.

The Highlanders finished 2007-08 with a 23-12 record –– the second most wins in program history –– and made it to the final game of the Big South Championship.
