Beck, Joens close to the finish

The Seattle Storm today waived both local favorite Kristen O’Neill and Roneeka Hodges, whittling its roster down to 12 players. There’s no official word from the team and I couldn’t get ahold of Kim Beck earlier today, but head coach Brian Agler said last week he planned to go with a 12-player roster — so Beck might have made it through camp.
Seattle’s training camp addition Florina Pascalau is not listed on the roster, which is located here.
In Chicago, it looks like former Colonial Cathy Joens may have made the Sky’s final roster. If both she and Beck have indeed made their respective teams, the two would face each other in the season opener, May 17.
