Pumariega finishes tied for 15th at Donald Ross Intercollegiate

Senior Andres Pumariega tied for 15th of 64 golfers at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate on Tuesday, earning a three-round score of 6-over par 216.

He scored 2-over 72 all three rounds, leading GW. The Colonials finished eighth of 11 teams, earning a team score of 53-over 893.

Senior Martin Liu was the next-highest individual finish for the Colonials, tying at 21st with a 9-over 219 score. Senior Taylor Fuqua was next, finishing at 19-over 229 and tied for 46th, followed by senior Brandon Runkin, who finished one stroke behind Fuqua with a three-round 20-over 230 and tied for 49th.

Junior Brennan Wallman rounded out the individual finishes for GW, finishing 61st with a score of 37-over 247.

The Colonials next head to the Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powells Point, N.C., for the ODU/OBX Collegiate Invitational, with play scheduled to start Oct. 23.
