Men’s tennis sophomore Francisco Dias is ranked No. 89 on the 2012 Campball/ITA Division I Preseason Rankings.

The nomination follows a highly-decorated freshman campaign for Dias, who was ranked as high as 64 over the course of last season. He was an integral part of GW capturing the A-10 title, its second straight, and traveling to the NCAA tournament.

Dias, who competed at both the No. 1 singles and doubles slots last year, became the first-ever Atlantic 10 men’s tennis athlete to earn both the Most Outstanding Performer and Most Outstanding Rookie Performer awards. At the end of the year, he was named to the A-10 first team.

He posted an overall record of 30-11 at No. 1 singles and 18-8 at No. 1 doubles last season.
