Vice President Dick Cheney will come to the GW Hospital this afternoon to correct the recurrence of an irregular heart rhythm in an outpatient procedure, according to a news release from the Office of the Vice President.
His doctors discovered the return of atrial fibrillation when Cheney met with them this morning, according to White House officials.
Cheney will miss a campaign event in Homer Glen, Ill. because of the procedure this afternoon, the news release said.
