Recording artist Sean Kingston will headline this year’s Fall Fest, Program Board has just announced.
Kingston will be the top performer at this year’s event, which will take place in University Yard on Sept. 5. The concert will follow a day of rodeo-themed events such as jousting and a mechanical bull, according to a news release. Program Board also announced the news on its Twitter page.
Past years’ performers have included OK Go, Common. Last year, bands Virginia Coalition and The Canon Logic performed, as did local rap artist Wale.
Interested students can learn more about the event and sign up to volunteer on Program Board’s Web site.

Wow i’m impressed! Best artist since I was a freshman 4 years ago.
Who?
Who? Seriously? He has the #5 song in the country right now!
That guy who stole “Stand by Me” for his first single then stole “D’yer Mak’er” for his second.
Sean Kingston = Fail Fest
Chris, I had no idea – I’ll get out from under my rock now and turn on the radio. Oh, and by the way, my name’s not really Mark.
Chris Rotella and Logan Dobson, there’s just no pleasing you. Who would you have chosen for Fall Fest considering what I hear is a very limited budget for PB that hasn’t been increased in years?
I never said I didn’t like Sean Kingston.
A ~300K budget is not limited by no means. Sean Kingston cost about 30K, Taylor Swift is close to 80K
PBs budget is not 300k. It is much less. And Taylor Swift cost $150k. Do you expect PB to spend all of its money on Fall Fest?
Why are all the options only country music? Wouldn’t students prefer a different type that they may actually enjoy…
How is Sean Kingston country music?
Yeah someone just asked how much Taylor Swift was. Sean Kingston is Hip Hop/R&B.
Oh, I don’t know. I’ve never heard of him and all the other referenced were country.
