Meghan McCain, the daughter of former Republican presidential candidate John McCain, will speak in the Jack Morton Auditorium Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m., announced the Graduate School of Political Management Student Association Monday night.
The GSPM SA did not immediately respond to requests for comment but according to the group’s Web site, the event is cosponsored by Program Board, Allied in Pride and the Student Association.
McCain, who writes for The Daily Beast Web site, retweeted the group’s announcement on her popular Twitter handle. The 25-year-old first made waves with a blog chronicling her father’s presidential campaign and is currently finishing a book entitled “Dirty Sexy Politics: A True Story,” which is expected to be released in August.
