The University will unveil its new logo Aug. 26 after students return to campus.
The new logo, without serifs, will be reflected across marketing materials, business cards, brochures, airport advertisements, apparel and websites.
The logo was last modified in 2002. At a town hall that barred photography, University officials presented the new logo to the handful of students who turned out.
The unveiling will take place in University Yard at 7 p.m. with a “mobile studio” for community members to share their GW stories, according to a release.
University spokeswoman Candace Smith declined to release the cost of the project, but said marketing materials would be “replaced on a department’s normal re-ordering schedule.”
